These are the agricultural products which are grown without use of fertilizers, growth regulators, livestock feeds, pesticides. Main concept of organic food is to grow food without the use of synthetic materials or genetically modified crops. 

CONVENTIONAL FOOD?

Conventional food are made using pesticides and chemical herbicides. in this farmers utilize chemical fertilizers to enhance plant growth.

  • the method used in growing the organic and conventional food is the key difference between both.
  • In conventional food farming farmer uses chemicals for production and processing of farm products. these chemicals have negative impact on our human health as well as environment.This is because the food are grown using pesticides, growth hormones, antibiotics and other kind of chamicals. on the other hand in organic food farming the chemicals such as pesticides, growth hormones and antibiotics are not used in food production and processing and no use of chemicals make organic food environment friendly and good for human health.
  • In conventional farming farmers use pesticides to eliminate the outbreak of pests , while organic farmers rely on birds and insects or traps to get rid of pests.

How to make difference between organic and conventional food?

in most of the markets there are different section of organic food and conventional food . they are also inscribed on packages of milk, cheese, eggs, meats and other single ingredient foods, foods labelled with made with organic ingredients may contain  up-to 70%  organic content while food labeled organic contains more than 95% organic content.

why organic is better?

the organic food is choosen for a reason .
there are enviromental reasons to go for organic, these practices are designed to reduce pollution and conserve water and soil. many people choose organic food over non-organic to avoid health risks associated with pesticides, herbicides and other chemicals used in conventional farming.
As for organic food being healthy, some studies, have demonstrated higher amounts of nutrients in varities of organic food . another study showed organic milk contained 67 percent more vitamins and antioxiants as well as  healthy fat than conventional  milk. 

why it cost more?

there are several reasons why organic food cost more than conventional food.organic farmers pay more for organic animal feed, labour intensive and avoid chemical pesticides and fertilizers. organic faremrs rely more on hand weeding .since they avoid chemicals and pesticides they use compost and animal manure, which is bulkier and more expensive to ship. conventional farming uses every acre of farmland to grow crops, while organic farmers rotate their crops to maintain healthy soil.
