Can organic farming feed countries like India?
Organic agriculture is a viable option but the thing is we can't simply replace the synthetic fertilizers with organic inputs The system does not imply the simple replacement of synthetic fertilizers and other chemical inputs with organic inputs,we need to focus on increasing the soil productivity and soil health so that we can produce more on soil as our consumption is too high due to size of our population . the thing is can organic farming really feed country like ours.
As we know organic farming has benefits over other one but the at the time it increases the expenses of that to be occurred by farmers for production and many farmers are no able to afford this .their is need to have required space for growing and adequate production for our population.

GMOs
A genetically modified organism, or GMO, is an organism that has had its DNA altered or modified in some way through genetic engineering their are two different side of this , as these GM crops are increasing the yield of farmers resulting in increase their income and also a benefit for our population as we'll be having large productivity in less space and resources. no doubt it is a boon for development in farming industry but as every coin has two sides , these GMOs are said to be upcoming biggest trouble for food industry as due to increasing health issues from such crops because of their alteration in natural productions.
Supply Chain management
One of the issues that we are having in the organic food market is the mismanagement in the supply chain of organic fruits and vegetables. The challenge we are facing right now is about cost of those organics products . In the case of organic supplies, the transportation time is the major factor affecting this as it is viable for very less time so chances of demolition at the time of reaching the fruits and vegetables are very high . so to But as we know the demand for organic food is rising exponentially so their is high need of managing the supply chain management from both ends.
